My heart was aching for the students in the movie the whole way through as I watched and I felt my emotions run high as many times throughout the movie I could feel my chest tightening as I held back tears.
There is something in the movie for every person to relate to. The cutter, suicidal individual, questioning person, content student who has dealt with the past, the longing to be accepted person, the student whose parents fight constantly, or the faker Christian. TAKE YOUR PICK. You're in there. You know who you are.
The movie is both heartbreaking yet hopeful all at the same time.
What would it take for you to make the decision to save someone's life just by saying hello?
The Lord is good and He is faithful and my steps on Earth are numbered yet SO FULL of PURPOSE.
This morning in church a series began called Life on Purpose. There are 3 types of Christians: fakers, fans, and followers.
Where would you place yourself? Do you like where you are at? Are you content? Are you striving to be more than the low expectation you have set for yourself?
2 Peter 1:3- "By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him..."
Godliness. Working towards becoming so like the Father that we no longer recognize ourself.
Lord I wish to pursue You every moment.
I fail daily, but my heart's desire is still YOU.
As Your love (agape) flows freely may I continually seek You.
You have given me everything I need. Thank You for never letting go.
