Limbo...it's only good if the music's on.

It's been quite a while and this won't be long since I have to get up at 5:30am tomorrow morning for Drivers Ed. Endorsement class at Longwood University. FACT: this is the first summer I have spent in Lynchburg with my family since 2006. 2007-2010 I was at a different church ever summer. How crazy. So far I'm enjoying the weekend lake trips in the boat but the rest of life is quite boring and I feel I'm wasting away with no purpose.

Anyways, a simple update.

- I got a teaching job. It'll be an hour away from where I live (great for the morning, terrible for the afternoon).
- I worked Thomas Road Baptist Church VBS this year and it was awesome. Got to ride the bus and do crowd control as we picked up inner city kids from all around Lynchburg! Such a cool experience I can't wait til next year and I hope I'll be around to do it again!
- I'm back in school for summer classes to get endorsed to teach Drivers Ed. I rediscovered that I still hate school. #iREALLYhateschool
- My good friend Cory and his family are moving to Illinois because he's the campus pastor for one of the campuses of Crossroads Community Church.// I'm jealous and wish I was moving with them. As I told Krystal it's an opportunity for her to scope out a cute guy for me :) #reallyhopinghersearchpaysoff
- I'm lonely. #iwantahumanfriend. I want to be challenged by somebody.
- I long for a church to call home. I want to get involved in a music ministry. I yearn for fellowship with other young believers like myself. I would LOVE the opportunity to actually meet some Christian guys and gals and just talk about the Lord and life. Why do all of my church relationships fail? #istillcantanswerthatquestion
- My room is a disaster and there are clean clothes that are in a pile on the floor and have been there for over a week. I know, I'm lazy. #thisdoesntmeanimgonnacleanit
- Because of said clean clothes pile I wear wrinkled clothes every day and hope nobody notices...they probably do.
- I'm tired of going to churches where people are only your "friends" if you attend there regularly and if you died in a car accident they'd never know because there's no contact outside of Sunday morning and if you miss a week they don't ask til they see you again.
- I'm currently sunburned because I was bummed about going out on the boat for 2 Saturdays and not getting tan. Therefore, this past Saturday (#3) I refused to put on sunscreen...and paid for it, dearly. #istillhatesunscreen
- I see status updates from people I know all the time who just seem to be living life to the fullest and I feel like I've missed something. I don't feel I've taken a wrong turn though. It's that feeling when you're driving down the road looking for the turn and you have that "I've gone too far. I missed it" feeling when really the turn is up ahead. So basically...limbo.
- I don't have much direction except stay the course. I do have a job. I can support myself. I do have a place to live and I just got a brand-spanking-new car (that doesn't leak, hallelujah) that I do love.
- I am fully supported and I completely trust that the Lord is watching over me and I'm where I need to be.
- I still wish I lived in Florida but now with Cory and Krystal in Illinois I'm kinda wishing I was there (MINUS the fact that Illinois is flippin' freezing in the winter).
- It gets harder to look through old pictures from a couple years ago because I continually remember/realize (now I do) all of the stupid mistakes I made or things I said.
- The real world is nothing it's cracked up to be and movies about a wonderful, vibrant, exciting, bumping into cute guys, living happily ever after just plain suck.
- I live on the side that the glass is half full because it was never filled up to the top to begin with...does that make me pessimistic still? ;)
- I'm not a fan of trial runs. I wanna dive in. I seem to dive in (to places or situations or people) and swim around and love the water until I come up for air a little while later and that's when I realize this isn't gonna work. OR a storm comes outta nowhere and lightning forces me to run away from the danger.

I've now stayed up 40min. past what I wanted to and I don't feel sleepy but I must force my eyelids to close or I'm gonna hate myself in the morning. Any thoughts on my logic?

> Realist out.
